Over the next week or so I am going to discuss the tool packs I have put together in my store. The first pack available is the Starter Tool Pack, this pack consists of items that will assist you and get you started in the world of scrapbooking. The pack includes:-” 12″ Trimmer, Scissors, Mounting Squares, Permanent Glue Stick, 3D Foam Squares and Sanding Disc.
The first item is a 12″ trimmer an item I feel is a must have, they are one of the easiest methods of obtaining quick and accurate straight edges for your 12″ paper and cardstock, you can also use them for trimming your photos. Paper trimmers come in various sizes the most common in scrapbooking is 12″. The one available in the starter pack is a Provo Craft Zision trimmer it also comes with a scoring blade and you can purchase replacement blades for this trimmer.

I have spent the last 3 days adding the new range of Core’dinations ColourCore Cardstock to my shopping cart. The Core’dinations Colour Core Cardstock is an amazing new innovation in cardstock! Every sheet of acid and lignin-free, textured cardstock has a core colour which coredinates with the surface colour. You can choose to keep that interior core colour hidden or add your own creative touch by sanding, tearing or antiquing.

Last Thursday I did a class at Print Blocks using my new Cricut Expression. For those of you unsure with this machine, it’s a 12 x 12 version of the Cricut a diecut machine for cutting shapes, letters and phrases. There is also a 12″ x 24″ mat available to do larger designs and signage. You can purchase a large range of cartridge to give different features so you can mix and match. There is no computer nessassary with the cricut, however there is a program availabe for your computer so you can link different cartridges together to make even more impressive designs.

The class we did was a great learning tool for both the cricut design studio (computer program) and the basic’s of using just the machine, it was lots of fun and I must say I met some wonderful ladies from different outlets around the Queensland area. I feel much more comfortable using my machine now, that’s not to say I didn’t make a few boo boo’s along the way.
I have added some images of the three projects we made on the day.
